Dating that was once considered something that only a few people use to do has now become one of the most common things in the world. It has become common in not only the major developed countries but also in the developing countries. The concept of dating has become so popular that countries in which even religion does not allow dating; dating has become a popular way of knowing each other.
So what is dating? I think most of us are familiar with the term dating but don’t exactly know the meaning of dating. They don’t know what when we can say whether the meeting of two people is a date or not. The term date comes from the literal word date which means meeting of two people on a specific date. The usual custom that has now been developed is that when a boy is interested in a girl the first step in knowing is asking her out on a date.
The usual steps of dating are first going to the girl’s home to pick her up, then taking her to a nice fancy restaurant for a dinner, and afterwards drop her back home. Dating is the starting point of all relationships. It is the step in which two people get to know each other. They find out whether or not they like each other and also the fact that whether or not they would be able to live in a relationship with each other or not.
The concept of dating is one school of thought; the second one is that of arranged marriages. The two schools of thoughts have their own pros and cons. There may be something that dating is better than that of arranged marriages while other things think dating might have not be as good as arranged marriages.
My personal likeness is more towards marriage. It could be arranged or for love. The reason for this is that no matter how many times you date, no matter how many dinners you eat together and no matter how many places you travel together, you can never be sure that the other person is the right person for you. In fact one of the worst things about dating is that both the boy and the girl try to pretend what they are not. They try to cover themselves to become something that they are not in real life. And once an actual relationship is developed more things about each other are revealed and once such things are revealed there is always a second thought about the relationship.
A relationship developed on the basic of dating is not always stable. There is always an option of leaving a person. But this is not how relationships are built. Until and unless you commit yourself into making every possible effort in maintaining the relationship, the relationship is bound to be destroyed. And such level of commitment only comes in marriages and not simple relationships that are based on few dates.
